Stila Magnificent Metals Review

Sparkle lovers everywhere were in amazement when Stila came out with their Magnificent Metals Liquid Eyeshadows – literally a dream come true, right? Or am I right?

This product is ingenious because it allows the user to bypass using a glitter base before applying glitter. All you would have to do it apply this to your eye.

So the real question is: is this better than using a glitter base and loose glitter?  Better yet, is it worth $24?

When I swatched this in stores I died. It was so beautiful – I knew I had to have it. Once I bought it and tried it out on my eyelids I was actually a little disappointed. I was hoping that it would be super potent and pigmented, but it’s a little sheer for my liking. Even with a primer, it wasn’t as glittery as I’d hoped.

I will say however, there isn’t a crazy amount of fall out with this product so that’s a good thing. It will probably work better when you layer it, but I’ll probably just stick to a good old glitter base and loose glitter for now.

  1. Love this review…. I had a feeling. I almost bought it yesterday and felt like I wouldn’t love it. It is beautiful. If you bought it at Sephora you could return it

Dark around your eyes looks great on you for some reason. It is like a natural bold setting that works strongly, subtly and naturally. Real character in that darkness though with warmth too. Really interesting eyes… maybe you are an old soul?

    1. Hmm, interesting, never thought about it – maybe? I love dark around my eyes cause I think it looks more exotic! Thanks for stopping by!

  4. Interesting, this sounds alot like painting. Like i was literally reading it and thinking about painting my house. Basically it is recommended to prime a wall before you go to a lighter shade. So i understand about the whole primer and base and all that fun stuff. Sayeedah you are extremely talented and i have no doubt that you will make it big one day! Keep up the great work. I will pass this info to my gf, she will love it. See you soon! Xoxo

    1. Wow sounds like you are really good with your hands, maybe you can teach me about painting houses and I can teach you about painting face! Xo

      1. Yess, I am great with my hands 😉 Alright deal! When do we start? 😊

    1. I think a pure glitter (cosmetic ofc) works better in my opinion, but it is a great option if you aren’t looking for something as potent but still sparkly, thanks for stopping by! Xoxo

    1. It is very beautiful if you don’t want a super intense glitter and something more wearable but still sparkly! Xx

  7. Oh, and I agree with the others, the black makes your eyes pop and look really pretty, maybe it’s the gorgeous hair? Love your entire look on the hair video!

  8. Truthfully it really does look like a gorgeous shimmering glitter shadow, but you are probably right if it’s not that pigmented than you probably have to do a few applications which can be a bit of a pain. Fantastic post!! ♥

  9. Claire Talks Beauty says:
