Review: Morphe 35OM Eyeshadow Palette

Morphe eyeshadow palettes are wildly popular – particularly the 35O Matte Palette ($23)! It’s no secret that tons of beauty gurus receive affiliate codes for Morphe, meaning they make a commission off of the product if you use their code.

So my question has always been “Are Morphe palettes really that good or are people pushing their products so they can make a commission?” That’s honestly why I’ve waited so long to actually purchase a palette. I kind of wanted a matte palette that had a lot of brown shades, so I decided “why not”?

Morphe 35O Matte Palette

I feel like I definitely can’t be the only one wondering about this? If you’re wondering too (or just wanna know my thoughts), keep reading!

First Impressions:

I love all of the colors in the palette! I’m not a huge fan of reds but I do have a fall look in mind that I want to create with those! Anywho, they have the most perfect, light taupey pinks & browns in this palette – ugh I die for them! I also love that they have a bunch of lighter cream shades with different undertones. For example, there’s a bright white, a cream, a white with a pink undertone, etc.

Packaging:

I like the packaging. It’s plastic? Or some type of plastic like material. I appreciate that it isn’t a matte cardboard type of packaging because I don’t like those (so hard to clean).

Pigmentation:

WOW! I honestly wasn’t expecting it to be so pigmented! The pigmentation is amazing. A little bit of this shadow goes a long way.

Fall Out:

I noticed some fall out in the actual palette, but not actually on my face.

Blendability:

Did I just make up a new word? I think I did. Anyways, the colors blend out really easily! With some palettes, when you blend out the color, it kind of vanishes. However, the nice thing about this palette is that the color doesn’t fade away with blending.

Texture:

The texture is really nice and smooth, almost buttery for a powdery. I definitely don’t think it’s chalky or anything like that.

Swatches:

I swatched by rows! The first color is on the right and the last color is on the left (read my arm from right to left to correspond to the rows).

Mature College/Work Look

  • Lids: creme with pink undertone
  • Crease: orange color
  • Outer V: Light brown, dark brown, and black
  • Lips: Huda Beauty “Bombshell”

Sorry I didn’t get to take the best shots! I’ve been a little busy with life!

Overall:

I think this is a great palette! I wasn’t expecting to like it as much as I do. I think the colors are perfect and there are endless combinations!

I can’t wait to play with it some more and create some more looks.

If you’re just starting out in makeup, I definitely recommend this palette. I also think it’s a staple for sure! It basically has every brown shade that you would need to create any eye look. It also carries beautiful transition colors and brow bone colors!

I definitely don’t think the shadows are over hyped, they are definitely worth it. You get a lot of shadows for a great price!

Have you guys tried this palette? What are your thoughts? Any other Morphe products you like? I would love to try something else!
