  • Gerard Cosmetics-Mini Haul & Review

    January 3, 2017 by sayeedahsparkles

Gerard Cosmetics is one of the online makeup brands that I absolutely love and adore! Their products are truly amazing and they always have some sort of sale going on! During their Black Friday sale I got some lipsticks, lip glosses, and a hydra-matte liquid lipstick. The one thing I hate about online shopping is choosing a color based off of their swatches. They always use fairer skinned models, so it’s hard for someone darker to choose. Soooo… here are my swatches of the colors I got! From top to bottom: Rodeo Drive Lipstick Vintage Rose Lipstick Electric Rose Supreme Lip Creme Destiny Supreme Lip Creme Crystal Lipgloss Ruby Slipper Hydra Matte Liquid Lipstick Lipsticks: The formula is creamy, pigmented, long-wearing, and not drying at all.. basically everything you want out of a lipstick. Also, the gold bullet packaging is so cute!!! Lip Glosses and Lip Cremes: Their lip glosses and lip cremes are pigmented and not sticky at all. “Crystal” lip gloss goes on so beautifully over so many colors, especially coral-nudes. Hydra Matte Liquid Lipsticks: I bought ruby slipper which is beautiful. It has little specks of red sparkles. The color is such a beautiful extra dark red. It is lightweight and lasting (you need to reapply if you eat). It isn’t drying like other liquid lipsticks. I’d definitely recommend them! Here’s a pic of me wearing ruby slipper: Hope you liked this blog post! What are some of your favorite GC products? Let me know in the comments! Xoxo-Sayeedah <3 insta: @sayeedah_

  • The Secret to Soft Lips with Matte Lipsticks

    December 25, 2016 by sayeedahsparkles

Happy Holidays everyone! I’m posting this week’s blog a little early because I’m going out of town this week. I might put some pics of my trip on my instagram so you guys can check them out if you’d like. Anyways, I swear by the product I’m about to mention!! I have super dry lips but this secret keeps them hydrated: Line lips with lip liner and fill them in if you’d like. Apply Nivea’s Lip Butter all over. It’s important to line your lips first because lip liner will be hard to apply after putting on this product.  Apply Matte lipstick. It’s as simple as that! I’ve tried using regular chapstick first but my lips get super dry still. However, with this lip butter by Nivea my lips feel super soft and supple underneath my matte lipsticks. This product also lasts for like 5-6 hours! Talk about amazing! What’re some of your favorite lip hydration products?? 🙂 P.S. If I have time I will do another post this week. Keep your eyes peeled. Maybe a Gerard Cosmetics mini haul + review? 🙂

  • Review: Kylie Cosmetics Lip Kits

    December 20, 2016 by sayeedahsparkles

People go crazy over Kylie Jenner’s liquid lipsticks! They used to get sold out in a matter of minutes! But is it really worth the craze? I bought the Kristen lip kit which is kind of a strawberry red type of color (more pink than red). Here are swatches: I like that it’s a nice color and the pigmentation is great. It’s a unique color with a very pleasant scent. The lip liner is creamy and glides on easily. I don’t like that it isn’t very long wearing and that it is drying. I know that liquid lipsticks generally ARE drying but the Kylie liquid lipsticks are more drying than other liquid lipsticks I’ve tried. After wearing this lipstick for a while it gets a little patchy on my lips (some parts more pigmented then others). I will say however, I don’t reapply my makeup throughout the day. So if you’re someone who does, then this might not be an issue for you. Is this a MUST HAVE? Honestly, for $29.00 plus shipping (comes up to a little over $40.00 w/ shipping in the US) I wouldn’t purchase another one. But it’s nice to have one as a collectible. 🙂

  • ColourPop Cosmetics – Lippie Stix and Matte Liquid Lips

    December 13, 2016 by sayeedahsparkles

Hi everyone! First off, sorry I didn’t post anything last week, I was so busy with finals! I will try to do 2 posts this week to make up for that! 🙂 Anyways, this week I wanted to do a review on Colourpop’s lip products for you guys! Everyone raves about ColourPop‘s lip products because of their pigmentation and affordable price (lipsticks are around 5$-6$). I’ve tried their ultra mattes, their lippie stix, and their lippie pencils. Here are my thoughts: THEIR LIPPIE STIX ARE AWESOME! They are hydrating and pigmented. I love the color “Rayezor” from their collection. It’s the perfect coral-ish nude!! Definitely gonna repurchase this one! See below for swatches. I don’t love their ultra mattes. While they are affordable and pigmented, they are incredibly drying. I’ve tried Instigator, Bianca, and Limbo. I don’t think Instigator and Bianca are flattering on my skin tone.. but that’s my fault for picking colors that were too light. See below for swatches. Their lippie pencils are really nice. I have one of them in Bound and it’s super creamy and pigmented!! Have you tried ColourPop? I wanna try their eye shadows next! Leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts. • The Real Use for Mac Fix +

    November 29, 2016 by sayeedahsparkles

Hey everyone! Today I wanted to talk about MAC Cosmetics Prep + Prime Fix+. Many people think that MAC Fix+ is intended to be a setting spray, when it isn’t. I do not own that photo. ^ Just an image I got from Google images. It’s actually a finishing spray. It contains glycerin which helps in making your make up look more uniform. Essentially, it brings the whole make up look together (especially useful if you highlight and contour your face). This spray is also for hydration. So basically, it’s supposed to help by making your makeup not look dry/cakey. It kind of “melts” your make up to your skin (not literally melt cause that would be bad- but you get what I mean!). Of course you can use this product whichever way you like, BUT if you have oily skin DO NOT use this as a setting spray. Set your make up with a setting powder and then spray this on top if you would like. It can also be used as a primer. Because I have oily skin I was very skeptical about that so I don’t know how well it works as a primer. TIP: Don’t go crazy. 2-3 sprays should be enough. This product also works well with eyeshadows. In my opinion it works best with shimmery eyeshadows. Spray the Fix+ on your brush and then dip it into the eyeshadow. TIP: Pat the eyeshadow onto your lid. Don’t go back and forth. It will apply easier and look more pigmented this way. Hope you liked this post. If you do use a setting spray, what are your favorites?? Looking for a good one. Side note: My next blog post might be up a little late because of finals. Enjoy your week! Xo Follow me on insta? @sayeedah_

  • Huda Beauty Eyeshadow Palette – Worth the Hype?

    November 22, 2016 by sayeedahsparkles

Hi everyone! I was SO excited when I got my Huda Beauty Rose-Gold Eyeshadow Palette! Her fake eyelashes are AMAZING so my expectations of this was so high.. especially with all of the hype on social media! So did this palette live up to the hype?! Lets start off with the textured shadows. They are truly like nothing I’ve ever seen before! They kind of give a foiled effect when applied with your fingers. I’ve never seen a shimmery eyeshadow that glides on so smoothly and vividly. It’s like a loose pigment in eyeshadow form. The sparkly eyeshadows are so pigmented and vibrant. See below for sparkle swatches. (Angelic and Moondust are not 3D colors) Matte Swatches: The matte shadows are also pretty perfect! They are easily buildable and blendable. It is very pigmented and it lived up to my expectation! This is easily one of my favorite eyeshadow palettes. My only critiques are: -The black eyeshadow is not opaque and pigmented enough for my liking. -I think the packaging could be a little bit better for the price point. Other than that… I LOVE this palette! Suede, Coco and Shy are my favorite mattes! Angelic and rose gold are my favorite shimmers! Here are pics of me rockin’ Rose Gold! (NO PRIMER OR BASE UNDERNEATH!!) As you can see, it gives that foiled effect with a little bit of texture. I love this so much because you don’t need to use a loose shimmer or MAC fix+ What are your thoughts on this palette? I would love to hear! Follow me on instagram? @sayeedah_ Xoxo
