The Real Use for Mac Fix +

Hey everyone!

Today I wanted to talk about MAC Cosmetics Prep + Prime Fix+. Many people think that MAC Fix+ is intended to be a setting spray, when it isn’t.

prep

I do not own that photo. ^ Just an image I got from Google images.

It’s actually a finishing spray. It contains glycerin which helps in making your make up look more uniform. Essentially, it brings the whole make up look together (especially useful if you highlight and contour your face).

This spray is also for hydration. So basically, it’s supposed to help by making your makeup not look dry/cakey. It kind of “melts” your make up to your skin (not literally melt cause that would be bad- but you get what I mean!).

Of course you can use this product whichever way you like, BUT if you have oily skin DO NOT use this as a setting spray. Set your make up with a setting powder and then spray this on top if you would like.

It can also be used as a primer. Because I have oily skin I was very skeptical about that so I don’t know how well it works as a primer.

TIP: Don’t go crazy. 2-3 sprays should be enough.

This product also works well with eyeshadows. In my opinion it works best with shimmery eyeshadows. Spray the Fix+ on your brush and then dip it into the eyeshadow.

TIP: Pat the eyeshadow onto your lid. Don’t go back and forth. It will apply easier and look more pigmented this way.

Hope you liked this post. If you do use a setting spray, what are your favorites?? Looking for a good one.

Side note: My next blog post might be up a little late because of finals.

Enjoy your week! Xo
