Finally Doing the Wedding Blog, Day 1 – Nikkah Ceremony

Oh you know, just 8 months later haha!

This will be more of a picture blog with little snippets here and there.

Oh let me tell you… most stressful time of my life!!! Having to do rotations 40 hours a week + homework/projects, working 20-30 hours a week, planning two ceremonies by myself, our honeymoon, my bridal shower, and looking for a place to live. No idea how I did it, but it was worth it! It was honestly everything I could have wanted.

The first day was our Nikkah ceremony as you can tell by the title, which is the Islamic marriage. Our Nikkah ceremony was held on 12/27/19.

Getting ready shots are below:

I actually have been lusting over these Loubotins forever and decided last minute to splurge on them for my wedding. Not gonna lie, they really hurt my feet but were 100% worth it! Love love love them! Jewelry by @letrendboutique and @evotique.

Nails are by @glam.by.dy – she’s my go to in Florida for special occasions.

These shots below were taken at the venue

For decor I really wanted something winter wonderland without being too cheesy and Jason at the Crystal Ballroom in Daytona did exactly that. I am so grateful to him for this!

Here are some shots of me and my groom with our matching outfits!

My amazing photographers Jon and Vicky were based in Chicago; their insta is @lecapephotography. They also have a blog post on their site featuring some of our photos! 🙂

My headpiece actually had a thick velvet border with beading all over and it was crazy heavy!

I’m also wearing the Desio lenses that I’ve talked about in a previous post.

Btw, if you get your wedding done at the Crystal Ballroom they pretty much take care of all the decor and seating. All you have to do is plan the flow of everything, provide the music, and bring the food (we got to have Ben & Jerry’s ice cream!)

That’s all for now! I’ll post the second day’s pictures another day! Do you have wedding photos you’ve uploaded to insta? I would love to see them! Drop a link in my comments so I can show them some love! <3
