Bobbi Brown: Good for Everyday Makeup?

bobbibrown

I recently purchased the Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Even Finish Compact Foundation after trying it out at Neiman Marcus and I wanted to do a review for you guys. For my everyday makeup I like to wear something that is lighter than a normal foundation but still has medium-full coverage. That’s why I was excited to try this. After using it for a while, here are my thoughts:

Likes:

  • Plethora of shades with yellow undertones
  • Good coverage
  • Lightweight

Dislikes:

  • Dewy/hydrated finish
    • I have oily skin so I like something more matte
  • Not long wearing
    • Lasts maybe 3 hours before my skin looks oily

Hope you guys liked this post! What are your favorite everyday makeup picks? I also used to love MAC studio tech foundation + powder compact (it was a cream as well).

Also, I’m thinking about doing a small giveaway soon so stay tuned for that!
Xoxo, Sayeedah! <3

BTW: MAC Cosmetics is doing lip kits! Ahhhh so excited for that! They will be available at Macy’s tomorrow (1/27/17)

**This is not my picture. I took it from Bobbi Brown’s website.

I’ve never tried this Bobbi Brown product, but I’ve faithfully used her Moisture Rich Foundation in Warm Sand for about twenty years. I’ve tried other products, but I always go back to this one. My husband even steals it to cover his occasional zits! I’m a huge fan of Brown’s line, about 90% of my make-up is from her. Although, Birchbox has introduced me to new lines. I now use blush from Cargo and an eye pencil from Cella. I also tried black liquid liner from Eyeko and I’m hooked!

Ohhhh I’ve heard good things about cargo! Yeah I didn’t LOVE this product but I like their shade range ally. Does the foundation dry matte? LOL that’s so cute that your husband uses it too

I’m really impressed with Cargo’s products. No, it doesn’t dry matte. However, I have very oily skin and it doesn’t make me look extra shiny. I actually gave my husband a bottle for Christmas, so that he can take it when he travels for business. He can be a little bit vain over acne!
