Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Palette Review

If you’re looking for a really good basic palette, I think you’ll really like the Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Palette.

Overall

abh-soft-glam

I think it really lives up to the name “soft glam.” All of the shades are wearable for everyday but can be dressed up for special occasions. This pal

ette has a great white shade (“Tempera”) and good transition and crease shades. It also has a few other colors to jazz up the look including a pretty brick/burgundy shade, some pink and some nice shimmers.

I think this palette is great because it has shades you need to create any basic look! I also think that this palette would be great for traveling because it has all the basics + some more!

Swatches are on the left!

Packaging

I think the packaging is nice because it has a mirror and comes with  a brush. The brush seems to be pretty good. I think the suede packaging is nice BUT I’ve already messed it up :(. Anyways, all in all super cute!

What I Like

The colors seem to be decently pigmented. There is a good array of colors. They blend out really easily and are not chalky.

Areas for Improvement

There’s a lot of fall out. I tried doing a double cut crease but the fall out made it impossible because it kept sticking to the white space.

I also feel that the black shade is not the blackest black I’ve tried. It’s good for deepening up shadows but I don’t think it’s the best black.

Here’s a makeup look that I’ve done using only this palette and the Stila glitter! <3 Hope you guys like it!

FACE

FOUNDATION: Lancome Teint Idole Shade 415W (Review coming soon.. !)
BLUSH: Tarte Paaarty
CONCEALER: Tarte “Shape Tape”
BRONZER: MAC “Give Me Sun”

LIPS

LIPSTICK: MAC Cosmetics “Whirl” topped with “Velvet Teddy”

EYES

Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Palette

– TRANSITION: “Burnt Orange”
– CREASE: “Rustic” and “Cyprus Umber”
– Outer 2/3 of the eye: “Rustic”
– Outer 1/3 of the eye: “Cyprus Umber”

– Then conceal to make the half cut crease. I go a bit higher than my actual crease so you can actually see the crease being cut when my eyes are open.

– Go over the concealer with “Tempera”
– With a light hand, add “glistening” just for a hint of shimmer – nothing too crazy (unless you want it that way

– Add Stila Cosmetics “Kitten Karma” to the inner corner and just tap outwards to add a bit more shimmer.

This is one of my favorite palettes! It’ was my first time trying ABH eyeshadows and now I’m hooked. (I know it took me awhile to try them lol) I totally agree with you about the fall out though. Loved your review! I haven’t been to your blog in awhile and I’m loving the whole vibe of it now! So cute. Xoxo 💋
