Underlash Clusters VS Strip Lashes
If you are chronically online like most of us are, you’ve definitely seen under last extensions. Well, my birthday was my first time using them and there is definitely a learning curve to these.

I bought the ones from Eylure that are pre-glued. The instructions did not say whether or not to use mascara. Through trial and error, I found that adding mascara before hand worked well. Applying it afterwards also helped in making them look more cohesive and “real”.
The hardest thing to learn in application is proper tweezer technique. It took me a while to get a hang of this, specially with stiletto nails. What I’ve learned is that when applying to the left eye, the long part of the tweezer should point left. When applying to the right eye, the tail of the tweezer points right.
I’ve seen girls online stating that you should start outwards and then move inward. Let me tell you why you should do the opposite. If you start outwards, it becomes incredibly hard to put the lash on your inner eye. There isn’t much space to maneuver the tweezers because you now have all those lashes in the way.
Now that the hard stuff is out of the way, let’s talk about some pros. The great thing about underlash extensions is you don’t need to wear eyeliner on top of your eyelid. Sometimes I like skipping upper lid liner because I don’t have as much eyelid space when my eyes are open. Skipping that step makes my eyes stand out more in person.
A benefit is you don’t have to worry about the inner corner fitting weird. When the inner eye starts to lift with strip lashes it ruins the entire look. For this reason alone I would definitely switch to using these instead.

Also, if you do your full look (eyeliner and everything), then add the strip lash and accidentally mess it up, you risk ruining your eye makeup. This doesn’t happen with underlash extensions.
One critique that I have about underlash extensions is that I don’t think they would last against strong winds (like if you were on a boat or in a snowstorm). For that situation I’d recommend getting eyelash extensions.
Have you tried these? What are your thoughts?
