Oily Girl Things | Too Faced Born This Way Foundation
Hey Sparklers! Hope you all are doing well! I’m going to dive right into this review!
Claims:
Too Faced Born This Way Foundation ($39) is a full coverage, radiant finish, liquid foundations that claims to work for all skin types. It claims to be long wearing (12 hours) and hydrating without causing flashback.
First Impressions:
So, I’m just gonna get straight to the point and say if you are oily, girl save your money! I did NOT like this foundation. Contrary to popular opinion, this foundation just isn’t amazing to me. I pumped it onto my hand first and I could see the the foundation separate on my hand. When I initially put the foundation on my face it definitely mades my skin glow. Now when you are oily, you have to be careful with the glow. Sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn’t. In this case, it didn’t…
Longevity
I was a hot oily mess at the end of my 8 hour day, which normally is to be expected. However, with this foundation I was oily in places that weren’t even my T-Zone which is not normal for me! Not only that, it photographed so horribly in pictures that I did not even want to upload the after shot of me wearing the foundation.
Shade Range:
The shade I was matched to is Praline. Initially it looks okay but then it oxidizes to become SO orange. Even though they collaborated with an influencer to expand their shade range, I still feel like they haven’t gotten the undertones quite right. If you’re a medium skin tone looking to find your perfect shade check out CoverFx’s full line of foundations at the bigger Sephoras. I have the shade N60 in their power play foundation and it works so good – my current favorite!
Flashback?
The one good thing I have to say is that this foundation does NOT cause flashback!
I hate doing a bad review but I have to be honest about the product.
I think if you have dry skin this will give you a nice luminous finish but if you have oily skin consider getting a sample before buying!
