Review: The Estee Edit Pore Vanishing Stick
Smooth & airbrushed looking makeup has forever been my goal. However, thanks to the pores on my cheek, that hasn’t really been a reality for me. I’ve seen so many pore “vanishing” products on the market, but do they really work? I put The Estee Edit Pore Vanishing Stick to the test.
The stick is white on the outside and then brown in the middle. The white part has oil absorbing powders, while the brown part is supposed to have a sheer pigment that fits all skin tones (which I feel it does).
Product claims:
With a single swipe, pores appear blurred, skin tone looks more even, and shine and oil are reduced.
I applied the stick directly onto my cheeks (just the top part). It immediately felt smooth on my skin (kind of comparable to how Makeup Forever Primers feel). My makeup honestly did look smooth right after applying it. I’m not sure if it controls shine because I didn’t wear my makeup for that long and I did use a matte foundation.
Unfortunately, when I removed my makeup, I noticed that there was a lot of redness where I applied the stick. My skin was also really warm, which is unusual for me.
Although my skin looked smooth and “poreless”, I won’t be using this product again because I don’t want to have a worse reaction.
Keep in mind that I have very sensitive skin and that just because it didn’t work for me, doesn’t mean it won’t work for you. I think that I will try Benefit’s PORE-fessional Primer next.
Have you tried any of these? What are your thoughts?
