What No One Tells You About Luxury Shoes
The first thing being that luxury shoes hurt – just as much as any other shoe! Just because it’s luxury – doesn’t necessarily mean that it is better quality.
I wore Jimmy Choo nude heels for my wedding and most definitely do not recommend. They were so painful, especially when you have to stand for hours to take photos. Going back to the statement I made about quality – I’ve had to have the strap on my Valentinos repaired because it completely just broke while I was on a date – so annoying!
The second thing being – there is absolutely no grip because the bottom of the shoe is usually so soft and slippery. If you are walking on tiled floors – be careful.
When you walk in these shoes, inevitably, they will get scuffed. It’s just the nature of the shoes. I take mine to get a rubber pad added on the bottom that gives more grip and protects the soft bottom of the shoes. The guy who does my shoes told me to wait until I’ve walked in them one time to place the rubber pad on the bottom. They can try to match them as a close as possible to the actual shoe color on the bottom. He even offers a red option to put on the bottom of Loubotins. I’ve heard that some people also offer a clear option that you can put on the bottom of Loubotins.
Are you a luxury shoe lover? What are your faves?? If you are looking for someone who can do this for you – message me!
