Kylie Cosmetics | Mattes – Velvets – & Creme Lipsticks

Kylie Cosmetics is one of the fastest growing beauty brands. From lipstick to highlighters to eyeshadows, she’s got something for everyone!

If you’ve been following me for a while now you know that I’ve reviewed her liquid matte lipstick already but I’m going to give a quick little summary here too.

M A T T E S

So far I’ve tried two matte shades from her line: Kristen, a super bold reddish pink and Dolce K, a classic nude brown shade. While Kristen was a beautiful shade, I found that the lipstick became patchy throughout the day and needed to be touched up. I don’t find the same thing to be true of Dolce K. It wears beautifully all day. This leads me to think that the issue may just be with the more bold colors.

Areas for improvement: Mattes are typically drying but I find this one to be super drying. A good alternative if you hate the super dry feel but want something lasting is Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipsticks.

V E L V E T S

I bought the shade Posie K. It’s my kind of everyday pink – just enough berry without going overboard. It’s more of a nude berry, if that even makes sense.

I like the formula of the velvets but I hate that it transfers to my teeth when I wear them. Any hacks to prevent this?

Okay, she got this formula SO right!!! If you buy anything at all from her line I highly highly suggest these! These feel so good on the lips and not drying at all. I got the color Mont Blanc and it looks so good on my skin tone. If we are similar in skin tone then girl, you need this! Trust me, it’s that perfect medium brownish nude type of shade.
