My Travel Checklist + Printable
The most annoying thing about traveling is packing! If you’re a procrastinator like me then you are probably trying to pack everything the night before! I always have to make a checklist to make sure I haven’t forgotten anything.
I wanted to share some of my travel essentials with you all!
Makeup
I try to carry just the essentials. When I travel, I wear more makeup than I usually would just in case there are pictures involved! Here are some of my favorites to carry:
- Smashbox photofinish primer – light
- Kat Von D Lock it Tattoo Foundation – I have acne scarring so this covers up a lot of them without me having to do extra steps
- Tarte Cosmetics Shape Tape Concealer – Super matte and full coverage
- Anastasia Beverly Hills Powder Contour Kit for contouring and bronzing
- Blush – I love the tarte “paaarty” sample that I got for my birthday from Sephora
- Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy Highlighter – this can easily be used for either a subtle glow or full on blinding highlight
- Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow pomade – “Dark Brown”
- Mascara – Currently loving Maybelline “falsies”
- Eyeliner: any matte liquid liner + urban decay perversion for the water line
- Eyeshadow Palette – Love the too faced chocolate bar palette because it has every color needed for either full glam or daytime wearable
- Urban Decay Setting spray – the best of the best
- Setting Powder – Ben Nye
- For days when I’m out all day this stuff keeps my makeup in place for hours if i bake!
- Lip liner – I usually use a nude color from Milani
- Lipstick:
- I’ll pack a nude, coral nude, pink, and maybe a red shade
- Oil Absorbing sheets from clean and clear cause I am super oily!!!

Miscellaneous
I always walk with an umbrella that fits in a large bag just in case.
Also, if I’m traveling internationally I gotta have my passport – duh!
I also walk with sunglasses, a pen, a blanket, a book, and plastic bags.
This might be kind of weird but i walk with socks in my handbag for the plane so i can take my shoes off and not worry about my feet touching the airplane floor.
Gum is a necessity for me because I hate when that weird thing happens to your ears in the plane. Chewing gum helps me a lot with this.
Electronics
My Sony alpha 5000 – so I can get some nice pictures! Trust me, an actual camera takes better quality pictures than a phone.
My phone and charger are obvious ones.
If I’m in school and want to study on the plane or in the hotel room I’ll bring my laptop!
I also love to accessorize with 1 watch that I think will go with every outfit.
Hair
I hate hotel shampoos, unless it’s the fancy kind. So I normally will buy the travel size garnier shampoo and conditioner from the drug store. I also always walk with my straightener and curling wand. I normally go with my hair straight and then curl my hair on the second day cause curly hair can withstand oils better than straight hair can.
I also walk with two extra scrunchies.
Dry shampoo is a must have because I’m normally out all day and I wash my hair every 2 – 3 days. Not your mother makes a good travel size.
ALSO I would absolutely die if I ever forgot my hair brush!!! Omg my hair would be unmanageable. I normally just brush my hair after I wash it. That’s it. I don’t want my hair to break so I normally don’t brush more than that.
I know this is a lot so if you want a condensed version, I am selling a printable version on my etsy shop: SayeedahSparkles.
