Makeup by Mario Mini Haul
Okay, who else screamed when Mario’s collection dropped? I’m so excited for this! I have always wanted to go to one of his classes because I just LOVE his makeup techniques.
If you didn’t know, he is Kim Kardashian’s makeup artist.
I obviously have very high expectations of this line because he has worked in makeup for so many years that I expect that he knows exactly what he wants out of certain products.
Okay let’s start out with the products I was most excited about because I just thought it was so innovative and genius! I honestly hope we get to see a lot more innovative things like this from his brand!
1. Master Metals Eyeshadow Palette and Manipulator
You can use this on your own or with the master manipulator drops. I use just one drop and find that is enough. I just scrape a little off with the spatula into the removable tray and add a drop and mix. It becomes the most beautiful foil – I swear – pictures do no justice! It looks incredible on its own and incredible with the manipulator. The formula is sooo beautiful and shimmery. I saw reviews on Sephora that said that they use it with other pigments as well and that it works well. Here is a photo with swatches.
Since we’re talking palettes, let’s talk about the next palette that I’ve gotten
2. Master Mattes Eyeshadow Palette
I got this because I’m in constant awe of the many eyeshadow looks that Mario creates for Kim Kardashian using mainly browns so I feel like he would know exactly which browns would be the best for warm skin tones. I love all of the shades that he chose and I think this is going to be a major staple in all of my eyeshadow looks. You kind of have to rub that top layer off first because it is packed very tightly and then it’s easier to use. The shades are all super blendable and they are not dusty at all.
My only critique is that the black is not the blackest black I’ve ever used. It’s more of a buildable black shade.
3. Master Eye Prep & Set
This basically comes with two shades of primer so that you can create a custom shade for yourself and a powder so that you can set the primer. The primer also conceals any darkness on the eyes.
I got the shade medium and I think it looks really good on my skin tone. It cancels out any discoloration. It actually reminds me a lot of the MAC paint pots but it is slightly easier to work with because it isn’t as thick. I wore this for a night out under my makeup and it held up my eyeshadows really well. I have oily eyelids so this product is a win for me. I also like this for someone like my mom who doesn’t really wear eyeshadow because she can just slap this on and set with the powder and go out.
4. Eyeliners
I got the brightening pencil and the black eyeliner and I love them both. The formula is very creamy and pigmented. The black eyeliner comes with a smudger on the other side and I love that they both come with a sharpener!
Have you tried anything from his line or have you went to a class of his? If you have let me know your thoughts on the product or drop a tip you picked up from his class!
Here’s a look I created using the black eyeliner, the matte palette, and the metals along with the manipulator

I still can’t get the brand in Italy but the primer thing was so interesting and unique I think I might give it a go. I have very oily eyelids too so it might be a win for me too
