Makeup Inspiration: Chocolate Halo
I think halo’s have got to be one of the prettiest trends in makeup! They are so beautiful yet so simple to do! I’ve created a chocolatey halo that can be worn to a nice dinner without being too over the top. I actually ended up switching the lips on this look and I actually love the second lip better!
Who says you can wear a bold with bold lips, right? Makeup is all about creating your own rules!
See below for all the products I used as well as a step by step on the eye look!
Face
Foundation: Kat Von D Lock it Tattoo (so far this is one of my faves for full coverage cause my entire chin was covered in marks here)
Concealer: Tarte Shape Tape
Concealer for Contour: L. A. Girl “Toast”
Bronzer: Too Faced Chocolate Soleil
Blush: Hourglass ethereal glow
Highlight: Becca Cosmetics Opal
Lips
Lips: MAC Cosmetics Velvet Teddy
Eyes
Lashes: House of Lashes Boudoir Lite
Eyes: Morphe 35O Palette along with Huda Beauty Original Rose Gold Palette
Eyebrows: Anastasia Dip Brow “Dark Brown” as always!
Create the eye look:
- Blend an orange toned brown in the transition area
- Add a chocolate brown to the outer thirds
- Use concealer to carve out the center of the lid
- Use #blessed from the original huda beauty palette and pat it over the concealer
- Top it off with “moonstone” from the huda beauty palette
- I used Becca “opal” as my inner corner highlight
You can use whatever palettes you have to create this look! All you need is a transition shade, a highlight shade, a deep brown, and a gold/white shimmer!

I’m obsessed with the Morphe 35O palette as well, have you tried the re-formulation (35O2)?
Me too! I have not! Have you? I didn’t even know there was a reformulation! If you tried it, what are your thoughts?!
