Huda Beauty Demi Matte Cream Lipstick
So far, I have loved everything that I’ve used from the brand Huda Beauty. I am personally biased because I think her story is so inspirational on how she became a famous blogger and beauty brand owner.
Whenever she comes out with a product, I always have high hopes for her product. Being a blogger herself, I trust that she has a good idea of what the consumer wants. That being said, I was so excited when she came out with her new demi matte lipsticks. I bought the shade “Game Changer ($20).”
Boasting a velvety, satin finish that lasts throughout the day, I was sure this product was going to be amazing. I mean her liquid lipstick is the best I’ve ever tried.
I am sad to say that this product was kind of a fail for me. I kind of expected it to just be like a satin lipstick. Instead, it’s more like Gerard Cosmetic’s Supreme Lip Creme. In other words, they are basically super pigmented lip glosses.
These lipsticks are also supposed to have menthol in them, but I do not feel a minty or cooling sensation whatsoever when I apply this. The other thing I didn’t like is that these lipsticks get on EVERYTHING – more so than normal satin lipsticks.
Huda blots these down to create a more matte lipstick. I’ve tried adding setting powder to the lipstick to matiffy it and it works beautifully. However, I feel like if I have to do all that then why not just buy a matte lipstick instead? Or opt for her regular liquid lipsticks instead?
Can we also talk about her new sparkly lipsticks? Am I the only one who is not a huge fan? I feel like it’s so early 2000s with the metallic shades. Do you guys like them? Let me know in the comments.

Lovely review! I love the shade and I am not a fan of her new metallic lipsticks too. I don’t like metallic lipsticks in general, they look horrible :p
Right! Excited to see what else she comes out with though! Lusting over the new nude palette! Thanks for reading girl! xo
