Review: Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick

"Lips, Makeup, Uncategorized"

[gallery ids="1145,1151" type="square" columns="2"] Happy Valentine's Day! <3 Huda Beauty makes some of my favorite makeup products. . I finally decided to purchase her liquid matte lipsticks and my expectations were HIGH. I got the shade trendsetter. Here are my thoughts: Pigmentation: The pigmentation is great! No patchiness and it is very opaque! Longevity: Lasts a pretty long time - hours on hours on hours! If you eat you might have to reapply. However, I ate this morning and it lasted through my cereal. Quality: The formulation is wonderful. It feels so luxurious and high quality. It's very lightweight, and that's a quality that's hard to find in matte liquid lipsticks. The finish is matte but it is NOT DRYING at all. Not even a tiny bit. It's so soft. It can feel just…

Are Expensive Lip Scrubs Better than DIYs?

"Beauty, Lips, Makeup, Uncategorized"

[gallery ids="878,879" type="square" columns="2"] As someone who has chronically chapped lips, I was extremely excited to try this lip scrub! I was really hoping this would be my lip-saver. This lip scrub is from fresh and it is called Sugar Lip Polish ($24). The directions say to massage a small amount onto the lips and then wipe it off with a damp washcloth. It can be used 2-3x a week. Here are my opinions on this product: I like that it makes my lips feel smooth afterwards. It also makes my lips plump (but that's expected because of the exfoliation). I don't like that it doesn't get all of the dead skin off of my lips. There is still some flakiness afterwards. Also, while it does feel smooth, it doesn't feel moisturized. Overall, I…

Gerard Cosmetics-Mini Haul & Review

"Beauty, Makeup, Uncategorized"

Gerard Cosmetics is one of the online makeup brands that I absolutely love and adore! Their products are truly amazing and they always have some sort of sale going on! During their Black Friday sale I got some lipsticks, lip glosses, and a hydra-matte liquid lipstick. The one thing I hate about online shopping is choosing a color based off of their swatches. They always use fairer skinned models, so it's hard for someone darker to choose. Soooo... here are my swatches of the colors I got! From top to bottom: Rodeo Drive Lipstick Vintage Rose Lipstick Electric Rose Supreme Lip Creme Destiny Supreme Lip Creme Crystal Lipgloss Ruby Slipper Hydra Matte Liquid Lipstick Lipsticks: The formula is creamy, pigmented, long-wearing, and not drying at all.. basically everything you want out of a lipstick.…

The Secret to Soft Lips with Matte Lipsticks

"Beauty, Makeup, Uncategorized"

Happy Holidays everyone! I'm posting this week's blog a little early because I'm going out of town this week. I might put some pics of my trip on my instagram so you guys can check them out if you'd like. Anyways, I swear by the product I'm about to mention!! I have super dry lips but this secret keeps them hydrated: Line lips with lip liner and fill them in if you'd like. Apply Nivea's Lip Butter all over. It's important to line your lips first because lip liner will be hard to apply after putting on this product. Β Apply Matte lipstick. It's as simple as that! I've tried using regular chapstick first but my lips get super dry still. However, with this lip butter by Nivea my lips feel super soft and supple…

The Real Use for Mac Fix +

"Beauty, Makeup, skin, Uncategorized"

Hey everyone! Today I wanted to talk about MAC Cosmetics Prep + Prime Fix+. Many people think that MAC Fix+ is intended to be a setting spray, when it isn't. I do not own that photo. ^ Just an image I got from Google images. It's actually a finishing spray. It contains glycerin which helps in making your make up look more uniform. Essentially, it brings the whole make up look together (especially useful if you highlight and contour your face). This spray is also for hydration. So basically, it's supposed to help by making your makeup not look dry/cakey. It kind of "melts" your make up to your skin (not literally melt cause that would be bad- but you get what I mean!). Of course you can use this product whichever way you…
